The honey-colored eyes honey wine is a festive beverage that can be enjoyed for up to three weeks.
It is best enjoyed on its own, but can also be combined with other ingredients, such as lemon or lime juice, honey and red or white wine, for an elegant and unique drink.
This recipe has been tested by a professional home-brewer who said it worked well for his wedding.
Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
Add ginger, garlic, thyme, and rosemary.
Cook, stirring frequently, for five minutes.
Add water, stir and cook for another five minutes until the liquid has reduced by two-thirds.
Add the honey, wine and lemon juice and bring to a simmer.
Let it simmer for five more minutes.
Remove from the heat and serve with your favourite condiment(s).
If you’re using white wine as your wine, strain the liquid through a sieve into a small bowl.
You can also use a blender or use the sauce from the jar of white wine.
Recipe Notes For the honey-coloured eyes honey: 1 cup sweetened coconut water, preferably with a small amount of water added.
2 tablespoons of honey, preferably from a good quality brand, or white honey, is recommended for the eyes honey.
3 tablespoons of white or honey-infused vinegar is preferred for the honey eyes.
4 tablespoons of lemon juice is also a good option for the white wine eyes.
5 teaspoons of white grapefruit juice or white grape juice, preferably white grape, is also an option.
