Honeycomber’s cereal has become one of my go-to cereals.
It’s super healthy and it’s delicious.
I have a lot of it in my fridge, but if you’re in a pinch, I’ll also make it.
This cereal recipe is a keeper!
I’ve made it with everything from fresh fruit, to veggies, to oatmeal, and even brownies.
The only change I made was to make my honeycomb honey and honeycomb sugar to the ratio of 1:1:1.
You’ll also want to use brownie flour and almond flour, and to add a little more honey.
This is a super easy and quick recipe, and it makes enough for four servings.
Honeycombing Cereal Yield: 8 servings Prep Time: 30 minutes Total Time: 1 hour, 20 minutes Ingredients: 2 cups fresh honeycomb cereal 1/4 cup granulated sugar 1 cup brownie batter 1/2 cup honeycomb mixture 1 egg, lightly beaten 1/3 cup honey, honeycomb, or honeycomb powder 1/8 tsp salt Directions: Preheat oven to 375°F.
In a large bowl, whisk together honeycomb and sugar.
In another bowl, mix together brownie and honey mixture.
Beat egg and honey until well blended.
Beat in honeycomb ingredients, then mix until well combined.
Stir in salt, then add the batter to the cereal mixture.
Pour the mixture into prepared cereal bowl.
Bake at 375° for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool for 10 minutes.
To Serve: Spoon honeycomb batter into a bowl and top with brownie.
Spoon a little honeycomb on top of each brownie, and top each brownies with honeycomb.
Recipe Notes: If you want to make a thicker honeycomb or honeycomber cereal, add in more honey and use browning egg instead of egg whites.
Honeycomb is a healthy, natural alternative to honey. 3.5.3208
